There’s little doubt they’ve got the talent to make a run this year, but it doesn’t hurt that there’s a little prayer behind the Petes’ playoff push.
Now in the role of the team’s chaplain, Tim Coles grew up in London, Ont. so he was once a casual fan of the OHL’s Knights. Once he started calling Peterborough his home, it took a few years before he came around to taking in a Petes’ game.
Today, however, there’s little doubt where his allegiance falls. He is the official chaplain of the team and even when he recently changed roles in his organization, he insisted that his new bosses find a way to keep that role in place.
Coles served in a variety of roles in this region for the Youth For Christ organization where, among other accomplishments, he and his wife established the Bridge Youth Centre in Peterborough. Today, he works for the national office as senior director of operations, where he makes it his goal to provide visionary leadership for the national team that leads more than 700 staff and 6,000 volunteers across Canada in its mission to reach youth for Christ.
