The Elite Academy U8/U9 Development crossed the border and participated in the Buffalo State Futsol tournament on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
The group was split into 2 teams combined of U8 and U9 players.
This was a nine team tournament that was played in the 2 Buffalo State College gyms.
The games were two 12 minute halves of five on five. The playing surface in the gym was the width of a basketball court. Two games took place at the same time.
One team played four games, while the other team played five games. The teams finished 4th and 6th.
It was a great, fast paced game with end to end action. The biggest key to this game in such a small area is ball movement.
The kids had a great experience, and for some it was their first time playing this style of indoor soccer.
The next tournament for this group is in May.
