Charges laid in Port Colborne grow op investigation – Erie Media – Ontario News


On September 20th, 2016 Members of the Guns Gangs and Grows Unit executed a CDSA search warrant at 462 Pinecrest Road, Port Colborne. This is a location for a medical marijuana grow operation.

At that time Police seized 3390 marijuana plants, which was 2877 marijuana plants more then was allowed. At that time Police did not arrest anyone and continued their investigation.

As Police continued their investigation evidence was gathered that lead to the execution of a second CDSA search warrant at 462 Pinecrest Road. On March 23rd, 2017 Police executed the search warrant and seized 2093 marjhuana plants which was 1605 marijuana plants more then was allowed.

63-year-old, Peter Muileboom, of Port Colborne, was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Production of a Controlled Substance, he was subsequently released from custody to appear in court in May of this year to answer to these charges.

On March 28th, 2017 Police attended an address in Brampton and executed another search warrant in relation to this incident. The following day, 65-year-old Craig Ferguson turned himself into Police Headquarters, where he was arrested for 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and 2 counts of Unlawful Production of a Controlled Substance. These charges are a result of September 20th, 2016 and March 23rd, 2017.

This investigation is still on going and it is possible that more people will be arrested in connection to the marijuana grow operation located at 462 Pinecrest Road.
